Carol Ann Waugh
President
Xcellent Marketing
Carol is President of Xcellent Marketing, a Denver-based consulting firm specializing in helping education and reference publishers develop effective marketing programs to sell to K-12 schools and libraries. Her professional background incorporates a broad range of responsibilities during the past 30 years. She has held executive positions in major publishing companies and has been the founder of two specialized publishing ventures—one involved in the microcomputer industry and one in the Internet industry. As an independent consultant for more than 23 years, she has worked with a multitude of companies, helping them with their overall marketing strategies as well as helping them implement specific campaigns. Carol has been advising companies on their Internet and e-mail strategies since 1998 and has created and managed more than five web sites for education publishers. Christopher Ziemnicki

Christopher is a 17-year direct marketing veteran with more than 10 years of interactive marketing experience. Prior to joining MDR, Chris founded and launched TheBigDeal.com, a Web-based consumer loyalty/sweepstakes portal and co-op marketing platform. His accomplishments also include developing and managing highly successful Web-affiliate marketing programs for both MicroWarehouse (now CDW) and Vertrue, Inc., and launching the world's first "Instant Win" sweepstakes in the online space with CompuServe in 1995. Additionally, Chris has been perfecting the art of e-mail marketing since 1995 when he worked with online networks (e.g., AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy). He has managed both large-scale e-mail marketing programs and developed e-marketing solutions with Direct Media, Inc., and is currently leading this initiative at MDR.
