If you missed the November 17 webinar or would like to experience it again, you may replay the webinar and download the presentation. Participants heard from two district leaders who discussed the social media environment in their schools. Moderated by social media expert, Sandy Fivecoat, this session covered:
- What is the general approach to use of social media in school districts and classrooms today?
- What are the biggest opportunities for social media to enhance learning?
- What policies are in place for the use of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels?
- What should publishers be doing to meet schools’ needs?
The audience also heard from Jeanne Hayes, who provided insight on national findings from Project RED The Technology Factor: Nine Keys to Student Achievement and Cost-Effectiveness report. This first-of-its-kind study is based on a survey of nearly 1,000 school principals and technology coordinators and investigates technology’s role in improving student achievement and its impact on cost savings.
